I remember every Sunday as a teenager, my Dad counting down the remaining time I had available to get ready to be on time for church. "You have twenty minutes left...ten minutes...two minutes" Every week it seems, no matter how early I started getting ready, I was always late. My Dad would have the family in the car waiting, honk the horn & leave with out me. I would finish getting ready, on my own time schedule, and I'd meet them at church. I used to arrive and say, "To me, on time is before the sacrament is passed."
To be honest, I have always been late for everything. I guess I was born that way. For my Birthday, my Dad once gave me a license plate border for my car that read, "Always late, but worth the wait!"
I may be a lot older now, but not a lot has changed. I am always late. Instead of my Dad waiting, its my patient husband and our girls sitting in the car. In fact, my husband had dubbed Brad Paisley's song, "Waitin' on a Woman" as his theme song.
So this blog, like everything in my life, is late. I have wanted to start a blog about my life for a long time. Let's just hope I make it worth the wait!
